Agreed. Undergrad educations are fairly similar wherever you receive them.


Heck, I had professors at Virginia Western Community College who were much better teachers than many VT professors. And you're pretty much working from similar material.

Once you get to grad school, things like libraries become meaningful. At the graduate level, I feel it begins to really make a difference.

But as you mentioned, the Harvard guy is probably going to have a much higher ceiling than the WVU guy. Not always, but it is somewhat indicitave of potential. It is quite similar to football recruiting.
